Insulin unit converter calculator

Insulin unit converter calculator

The insulin unit converter calculator was developed to convert insulin concentration from μIU / mL to pmol / L and from pmol / L to μIU / mL. Due to the fact that different laboratories issue results of insulin concentration in different units – I developed this calculator. I hope that it will be useful not only for doctors, but also for patients, laboratory diagnosticians, midwives, nurses, nutritionists and paramedics.

Insulin unit converter calculator – calculate it

Enter your insulin concentration value to use the calculator below. Then select the appropriate concentration unit. The calculator will convert your insulin concentration into the available concentration units.

Converting insulin concentration – formulas

The formulas below make it possible to convert insulin concentration between pmol / L and μIU / mL. Additionally, sample calculations are placed under the formula.

Convert insulin concentration from μIU / mL to pmol / L formula:

μIU/mL x 6.945 = pmol/L

Calculation example: To convert an insulin concentration of 5.48 μIU/mL to pmol/L, multiply the value 5.48 by 6.945

5.48 μIU/mL x 6.945 = 38.06 μIU/mL

Convert insulin concentration from pmol / L to μIU / mL formula:

pmol / L x 0.144 = μIU / mL

Calculation example: If you want to convert insulin concentration 45.87 pmol / L to μIU / mL, the value 45.87 must be multiplied by 0.144

45.87 μIU / mL x 0.144 = 6.61 μIU / mL
