Iron unit converter calculator

Iron unit converter calculator

The Iron unit converter calculator is used to convert iron concentration between units of:

  • μmol/L
  • μg /dL
  • mg/L

Due to the lack of standardization, medical laboratories often issue results of iron concentration determination in various units. In order to facilitate the conversion of iron concentration, the following calculator has been developed. Anyone can use it – doctor, patient, laboratory diagnostician, nurse, midwife, paramedic.

Iron converter calculator – formulas

If you do not want to use the calculator, but you want to calculate the iron concentration yourself – below are the formulas.

Convert iron concentration from μmol/L to μg/dL formula:

μmol/L x 5.59 = μg/dL

Convert iron concentration from μmol/L to mg/L formula:

μmol/L x 0.0559 = mg/L

Calculation of iron concentration from μg/dL to μmol/L formula:

μg/dL x 0.179 = μmol/L

Convert iron concentration from μg/dL to mg/L formula:

μg/dL x 0.010 = mg/L

Calculation of iron concentration from mg/L per μg/dL formula:

mg/L x 100 = μg/dL

Convert iron concentration from mg/L to μmol/L formula:

mg/L / 0.0559 = μmol/L
